Introduction

Storytelling is an engaging way of teaching kids a particular life lesson or a concept in an interesting manner. Although conventional teaching methods are also helpful in imparting important life lessons and making a child understand certain academic concepts, storytelling can be a more fun activity for the child. It also helps in having the attention of a kid for a longer amount of time and makes them feel interested in the process.

A parent may observe that through the aid of storytelling, teaching kids' certain values and manners no longer feels like a formal conversation or an obligation. Both the parent and the child may equally enjoy the process and, towards the end of the story, share their views. This fosters a learning system that is more participative and induces imagination. The child may also remember the learning for a longer amount of time because of the detailed discussion and storytelling.
